Fitting the Bill: Most-Requested Documents from “Finding the Perfect Fit”

“Finding the Perfect Fit,” an article in SN’s November 2018 issue on HR Challenges, is fully based on a highly-successful and widely-popular session at SNA’s Annual National Conference (ANC) in Las Vegas. The article, written by Freelance Writer Penny McLaren, summarizes the session on interviewing and onboarding new employees and gains insight from the presenters, whose district, Wichita (Kan.) Public Schools, takes a nuanced approach to the topic.

Within the article, and during the session, Grace Liss, RD, LD, SNS, assistant director of Nutrition Services for Wichita PS, mentions several “most-requested” documents that assisted in changing the course of her hiring process. These documents (an example job description, fine finger manipulation test score log, as well as a set of in-depth interview questions and rating criteria) can be found below. The presentation itself, “Interviewing and Onboarding New Employees for Success,” can be found online in the ANC 2018section of SNA’s Presentations and Papers Library.
