Welcome the students and the community—whether it’s parents, officials, the media or other—to try, taste and enjoy new school foods by hosting a school or community food show. While the details of these food shows are difficult to wrangle, School Nutrition has all the information you need to make the event a success.

In “Tasting is Believing,” SN Editor Patricia L. Fitzgerald profiles three school districts, ranging from small to large to very large, in their efforts to host a food show. Each district took a different approach to the event, and you’re likely to find a method that will work for your operation—as well as some helpful tips gleaned from veteran operators.
