SNA has named Wanda Moore McDowell, Southeast Region Sales Manager for Super Bakery, Inc., as the national Industry Member of the Year.

SNA commended the Biden Administration today for extending several COVID-19 waivers to ensure students can continue to safely receive free school meals through SY 2021/22.

SNF has announced winners of its 2021 Equipment Grant Program. Five school nutrition professionals are each being awarded up to $65,000 worth of equipment to benefit their school meal programs.

New USDA data reveals school meal programs served 30% fewer meals to students and incurred significant losses in federal revenue in the first nine months of the pandemic. SNA continues to urge Congress to provide additional relief funds to keep school meal programs financially sustainable and ensure student access to healthy school meals.

SNA applauded the announcement today by U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack of the extension of key COVID-19 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and Seamless Summer Option (SSO) waivers through September 30, 2021.
