State Agency Newsletter: Fourth Quarter November 2019 Share Your Thoughts: 2020 Policy Priorities SNA is preparing to craft its 2020 Position Paper. We need to hear from you about what SNA can do in Washington to help support school nutrition professionals nationwide. On December 9th, SNA's Public Policy and Legislation Committee (PPL) will review your responses as they work on drafting the Association's 2020 Position Paper. The Position Paper reflects the Association's top legislative/regulatory priorities and will serve as the roadmap for 2020 advocacy efforts. Please provide your input by November 23rd.Year in Review: SNA Comments on Federal Regulations SNA continues to monitor regulatory updates for the opportunity to advocate on behalf of members and provide insight on the impact of Proposed, Interim, and Final Rules, or changes to existing regulations. Here’s a look back at the comment letters submitted in 2019 of particular interest to state agencies. So far this year, SNA has submitted 24 comment letters in response to Federal Register notices. When appropriate, SNA consults with the State Agency Advisory Council on notices of particular interest or with a direct impact on state agencies. The Pre-Conference/Intensive Training day will be Monday, December 2nd, with the full conference starting on Tuesday, December 3.
