Jennifer Armstrong, VP of School Sales, Don Lee Farms

ARLINGTON, VA – The non-profit School Nutrition Association (SNA) has named Jennifer Armstrong, VP of School Sales for Don Lee Farms, the 2026 national Industry Member of the Year. The award recognizes the outstanding contributions of industry members who demonstrate exemplary support to SNA, its members and their professional communities nationwide.

A champion for school nutrition and frequent participant in SNA’s Legislative Action Conference, Armstrong has advocated for school meal programs at the federal and state level and promoted the benefits of school meals to school boards, superintendents and community leaders. Contributing as a program advisor and speaker for a multitude of SNA conferences and workshops, Armstrong seeks out ways to share her expertise, collaborate and support school nutrition professionals working to improve programs for students.

Throughout her 20 years as an SNA member, Armstrong has stepped up in several capacities. She currently serves on the School Nutrition Foundation Board of Directors. In her previous role on SNA’s Industry Advisory Council, Armstrong provided critical input and recommendations on initiatives, kept leaders apprised of industry concerns and promoted membership in the Association. Additionally, Armstrong has played an active role in the American Commodity Distribution Association, currently serving as Industry Representative on the board, and Industry Co-advisor to the Public Policy Committee.

At Don Lee Farms and in her prior positions at Perdue Foods and Butterball, Armstrong spearheaded efforts to develop clean label products with fewer ingredients of concern. Her work has helped school districts meet the evolving needs of their students and address parent concerns, while allowing programs to get ahead of regulatory requirements.

“Jennifer Armstrong is committed to supporting her school nutrition colleagues by sharing solutions and best practices to strengthen child nutrition programs,” said SNA President Stephanie Dillard, MS, SNS. “Her long-time service to SNA and its members, as well as her advocacy on behalf of school nutrition are to be commended.”

Armstrong will be recognized as national Industry Member of the Year during SNA’s Annual National Conference in Charlotte, N.C. in July.
