SNA’s Public Policy and Legislation Committee (PPL) is preparing to draft the Association’s 2027 Position Paper and needs YOUR input on top advocacy priorities and school meal program challenges.
On Thursday, October 1st at 10:00 AM EST, all current SNA members will receive an email from “The School Nutrition Association,” containing a unique link to participate in SNA’s Position Paper and Trends survey.
Please take this opportunity to raise your voice on the top issues SNA should address in our outreach to Congress and USDA.
Additionally, school nutrition directors/supervisors will be asked about current program trends, concerns related to July 2027 limits on added sugar and sodium, as well as topics related to USDA’s forthcoming proposed rule to align standards with the new Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
Every SNA member who completes the survey will be enrolled in a drawing to win one of two FREE to SNA’s 2027 Legislative Action Conference in Washington DC! Details here.
This survey is one critical way PPL keeps its finger on the pulse of member concerns and priorities. PPL members also welcome direct member feedback throughout the year, gather input at SNA meetings and stay in close touch with SNA’s state affiliate policy chairs. In addition to contacting PPL and your state policy chair, members may share input directly with SNA via advocacy@schoolnutrition.org. Please do your part to keep SNA informed on the issues that matter most to you, your program and the students you serve.
