SNA Recognizes 2025 National Industry Member of the Year

ARLINGTON, VA – The non-profit School Nutrition Association (SNA) has named Gayle Swain, Manager of Non Commercial Markets for Cambro Manufacturing Company, the 2025 national Industry Member of the Year. The award recognizes the outstanding contributions of industry members who demonstrate exemplary support to SNA, its members and their professional communities nationwide.

An SNA member for 15 years, Swain has been a passionate advocate for the Association and its members, encouraging colleagues to participate in national and state level conferences, take on volunteer roles and seek out opportunities to better support school nutrition programs.

Swain served on the School Nutrition Foundation board for four years and takes pride in facilitating Cambro’s equipment donations through the SNF Equipment Grant program. Currently in her second year of service on the SNA Industry Advisory Council, Swain helps keep Association leaders informed of industry concerns and developments, provides recommendations on initiatives, and communicates with industry members on how to assist school districts in navigating challenges.

An active California SNA member, Swain has enjoyed serving on CalSNA’s Public Policy & Legislation Committee, the legislative conference planning team and the fundraising committee to support conference scholarships. She has served as a trainer for the Georgia SNA Equipment Academy, as well as a breakout session speaker at numerous state affiliate conferences, addressing topics ranging from increasing meal participation to kitchen design and disaster preparedness.  Swain is especially passionate about her work to promote solutions for food waste reduction.

“SNA members are so grateful for Gayle Swain’s passion and dedication to supporting school nutrition professionals and their programs,” said SNA President Shannon Gleave, RDN, SNS. “In her daily work at Cambro, as an SNA volunteer leader and a frequent education session presenter, Gayle is always eager to share solutions to further improve meal service for students.”

Swain will be recognized as national Industry Member of the Year during SNA’s Annual National Conference in San Antonio in July.
