Enhance your #LAC26 experience by attending our pre-conference workshops on Saturday, March 7! These engaging, skill-building sessions are designed to help school nutrition professionals deepen their leadership, strengthen their programs and expand their impact. This year, we are hosting TWO pre-conference workshops!
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Demystifying School Nutrition Laws and Regulations: From Basics to Bold changes
- Overview of federal statutes and rules governing Child Nutrition programs
- Teach participants how to read and interpret legislation and regulation
- Highlight recommended policy changes to improve program operations
1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Make it Local: Driving Change Through Policy, Partnerships, and Procurement
- Examine current policy opportunities and learn how strategic advocacy can expand local food access and infrastructure
- Review funding strategies that boost local sourcing and participation
- Evaluate data demonstrating the broader impact of local procurement
How to Register for pre-conference workshops:
- Go to your confirmation email and click “Manage your Registration.”
- This will take you to a sign-in page where you will enter the email you used to register and your confirmation number.
- Once signed in, click “Modify Registration”
- This will take you through the registration process to add the pre-conference workshops.
