The results are in! Basic American Foods announced today the winners of its 36th annual Foodservice Achievement Management Excellence (FAME) Awards.

And the winners are…

  • Golden Foodservice Director of the Year Award (the FAME Awards’ most prestigious honor): Bertrand Weber, Director of Culinary & Wellness Services, Minneapolis Public Schools

  • Silver Leadership Award: Katie Cossette, MDA, RDN, SNS, Director of Nutrition Services & Warehouse, St. Vrain Valley Schools

  • Silver Rising Star Award: Kaci Kelly, Director of Child Nutrition, Ocean Springs School District

  • Silver Spirit Award: Alicia Arnett, Menu Planning & Food Procurement Specialist, Jefferson County Public Schools

Why it matters: The FAME Awards honor school nutrition professionals for their dedication to making a positive impact in their communities, celebrating leaders who innovate through programs like farm-to-school and culturally diverse menus to enhance student participation and well-being.
