SNA Leadership Opportunities

School Nutrition Association Leadership Opportunities

In February 2019, the SNA membership elected Reginald Ross, SNS, to the position of President-Elect of the SNA Board of Directors. Upon his installation in this position in July, during SNA’s Annual National Conference (ANC), Ross will resign his current SNA Board position as At-Large Director to become President-elect. There will be 2 years remaining for that Board position term.

The SNA Bylaws, as amended in 2018, stipulate that Board position vacancies be filled by appointment through a vote of SNA’s Delegate Assembly. Although this is not an official SNA election by the membership, SNA’s Leadership Development Committee (LDC) will recommend two nominees for consideration by the Delegate Assembly. Nominations are now being accepted for this At-Large Director position. The Nomination form and other supporting materials are available below. The nominations process will close on Friday, April 26.

The LDC will select two nominees and forward them to the Delegate Assembly, for an electronic vote. The new At-Large Director appointment will be announced on Monday, June 3. Installation will take place at ANC.

Please consider the leadership talent you see and work with in your state, region or at the national level, and submit a nomination for At-Large Director by April 26. Self-nominations are encouraged. If you have any questions, contact either LDC Chair Dr. Lynn Harvey at or (919) 807-3506 or SNA CEO Patricia Montague at or (800) 877-8822 x143.
