SNF Scholarships
The School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) provides School Nutrition Association (SNA) members with the opportunity to attend SNA’s Legislative Action Conference (LAC), School Nutrition Industry Conference (SNIC) and Annual National Conference (ANC), as well as professional development scholarships to further their education and career. More than $50,000 is available this year to support members.

Nancy Curry Scholarship
Super Bakery Scholarship
The Franco Harris Legacy Scholarship Program was created in loving memory of Franco Harris and established in 2024.” As a longtime supporter of the School Nutrition Association and SNF, we are honored to provide this scholarship program to SNA members who are seeking to better themselves professionally and personally and who strive for quality, innovation, and nutrition for the betterment of students.
Through this scholarship program, Super Bakery will be awarding two professional development and conference scholarships to eligible SNA members. The Super Bakery MVP Award will provide two (2) monetary awards at $5000 each to support the recipients’ academic endeavors.
SNA Professional Development
In support of School Nutrition Foundation, the School Nutrition Association (SNA) is sponsoring the SNA Professional Development Scholarship. Recipients of this scholarship will be provided up to $2500 in support of their academic and professional development.
Schwan’s Food Service Scholarship
In support of advancing the development of school nutrition professionals, Schwan’s Food Service, Inc., makes an annual donation which provides funds to the School Nutrition Foundation’s (SNF) scholarship program. This scholarship enables SNF to “foster good nutrition in school lunch programs and to improve school foodservice management.” Scholarships of up to $2,500 each are awarded.
Superhero Scholarship
In partnership with the School Nutrition Foundation, Bart Christian has established the Superhero Professional Development Scholarship in honor of the dedicated people who feed our country’s school children every day. The “Superhero Scholarship” will provide multiple scholarships to SNA members who are achieving their educational dreams in a school nutrition field of study. Since continuing education is critical to advancing their professional goals, SNA members can apply for the Superhero Scholarship to assist with funding for tuition and books for the following school year.
Professional Development scholarship applications will open in 2026.
2025 Conference Scholarships
2026 School Nutrition Industry Conference Scholarships
SNF is offering scholarships to help SNA members offset the costs of attending SNA’s School Nutrition Industry Conference (SNIC26) on January 11-13, 2026, in Austin, TX. SNF will be awarding a total of twenty-one (21) SNIC26 Scholarships.
The School Nutrition Association is sponsoring ten (10) scholarships for SNIC26.
- Five (5) of the scholarships will be awarded to first-time attendees.
- Five (5) of the scholarships will be awarded to previous SNIC attendees.
- Recipients of the SNA-sponsored SNIC scholarships will each receive $1,400 to cover registration, airfare, hotels, and meals.
- Each scholarship recipient must comply with his/her school district’s policy on out-of-district travel.
Super Bakery’s 22 Seconds Society in Memory of Franco Harris is sponsoring eleven (11) scholarships for SNIC25.
- Six (6) scholarships will be awarded to first time attendees.
- Six (5) of the scholarships will be awarded to previous SNIC attendees.
- Recipients of the Super Bakery sponsored SNIC26 scholarships will each receive $1,000 to cover registration, airfare, hotels, and meals. Each scholarship recipient must comply with his/her school district’s policy on out-of-district travel.
All applicants must be:
- Current School Nutrition Employee, Manager or Director level SNA members
- Eligible applicants must be a member of SNA as of September 1, 2024
- Members that joined after the stated deadline will NOT be eligible
- Members who joined before the indicated date ARE eligible
- State Agency and Industry members are not eligible
- Only one scholarship per school district per conference
- The supervisor approval reference form must be included, or the scholarship will not be considered*
The deadline for application submission is October 24, 2025
2026 Legislative Action Conference Scholarships
SNF is offering scholarships to SNA members to help offset the costs of attending SNA’s Legislative Action Conference (LAC26) on March 8-10, 2026, in Washington, DC. SNF will be awarding a total of fifteen (15) LAC scholarships.
Josephine Martin National Policy Fellowship
Dr. Josephine Martin is a pioneer in the field of child nutrition. Launching her career at the Georgia Department of Education in 1950 as the assistant school lunch director, she soon became a vocal advocate for child nutrition, influencing legislation on the community, state and federal levels.
- Awards up to $3,000 to one (1) selected fellow to attend and be recognized at SNA’s Legislative Action Conference, helping to defray travel expenses.
- Eligibility: Be an active school nutrition employee or manager level SNA member, who has been an SNA member for at least three years (October 1, 2021 - September 30, 2024); has never previously attended LAC; and has an interest in child nutrition policy.
School Nutrition Association will sponsor ten (10) scholarships for LAC 2025. Five (5) of the scholarships will be awarded to first-time attendees. Recipients of the SNA sponsored LAC scholarships will each receive $1,400 to cover registration, airfare, hotels, and meals. Each scholarship recipient must comply with his/her school district’s policy on out-of-district travel.
J.T.M. Food Group will sponsor four (4) scholarships for LAC 2025. Two (2) of the scholarships will be awarded to first-time attendees. Recipients of the J.T.M. Food Group-sponsored LAC scholarships will each receive $1,000 to cover registration, airfare, hotels, and meals. Each scholarship recipient must comply with his/her school district’s policy on out-of-district travel.
To apply for the SNA and J.T.M Food Group scholarships, individuals must be:
- Current School Nutrition Employee, Manager, or Director members
- Current SNA member and member of SNA for at least one year (10/1/2023 - 9/30/2024)
- SNA membership join date on or before October 1, 2023
- State Agency and Industry members are not eligible
- Only one scholarship per school district per conference
The Frank & Erinn Massabni Scholarship Program
Frank & Erinn Massabni are committed to helping school nutrition professionals acquire the education they need to help feed millions of school children each year demonstrated by their investment in the School Nutrition Foundation's Conference Scholarships Program. The Frank & Erinn Massabni Scholarship Program will sponsor five (5) scholarships for LAC 2026. One (1) $3,000 scholarship will be awarded to a first time attendee; all eligible applicants who use the first time attendee submission form will be considered. Four (4) $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to recipients in the states of CO, FL, MA, and TX (Please see those state association's websites to apply).
