School Nutrition Association Board of Directors member Daniel Ellnor has resigned from his position as he transitions to a new professional role working for one of SNA’s industry partners. Per SNA’s Bylaws, Board members who change their profession mid-term must resign if they have served in their position for less than two years.
Dan has been a dedicated and passionate advocate for SNA’s mission and members, contributing significantly to the advancement of school nutrition programs and the profession. While he is stepping away from the Board, he remains fully committed to supporting the Association and K-12 community. We look forward to his future contributions in his new capacity.
As outlined in our bylaws, SNA will begin the process of filling this vacant Board position. Per Article IV, Section 6(A) of the SNA Bylaws, the Delegate Assembly is responsible for selecting a replacement. SNA members who have been nominated for Director positions on the Board but were not selected by the Leadership Development Committee (LDC) or not elected by the membership will be invited to submit their name for consideration by the LDC. In the coming weeks, the LDC will meet to select a candidate to be put forward to the Delegate Assembly for approval. SNA will provide an update to the membership once this process is completed.
