Calling all marketing maestros, student engagement specialists, food allergy authorities and culinary demo connoisseurs—SNA’s professional development department is looking for new subject matter experts (SMEs) in a variety of topics, and we want you to share your knowledge and experience with us.

By being an SNA SME, you’re supporting your fellow SNA members by offering your knowledge to help develop webinars, courses, trainings, magazine article topics, media inquiries and more. At the same time, you’ll be helping SNA diversify our pool of SMEs so we can ensure we’re being as inclusive as possible and effectively sharing the voices of our diverse membership.

So, how do you know if you qualify as a subject matter expert? If you’re confident in your ability to host a training, speak in a webinar or write an article on a specific topic, you could be a great fit. You might be tempted to shy away from awarding yourself the title of “expert”—but don’t! Nearly everyone is an expert on something, and with your experience and training, chances are you qualify as an expert in one (or more!) of the school nutrition topics we’re looking for.

To see the full list of SME topics and apply to be an SME, fill out this interest form telling us a little about yourself, your knowledge, experience and qualifications and why you want to be a subject matter expert for SNA. Remember, don’t be humble! We already know our membership includes talented professionals who are experts in their field—now we just need you to tell us where your expertise really shines.
