Nationally recognized as a forward-thinking leader, engaging presenter, informed trainer and certified Life Coach, JoAnne Robinett, SNS, holds a master’s degree in administration and a School Nutrition Specialist credential.

An in-demand presenter, she frequently keynotes district trainings, as well as state and national conferences. JoAnne has been quoted in USA Today, Parenting magazine and The Boston Globe. Her articles have been featured in many state association publications and in School Nutrition, SNA’s flagship publication.

After 35+ years, she is still actively involved, currently serving as the chair of the Board of Directors for the School Nutrition Foundation. She is the administrator for the Facebook group “School Nutrition Professionals,” with more than 8,000 members. About 15 years ago, she started her own business, America’s Meal, to deliver training and inspiration to schools, associations and businesses in this field. She has found success in this “encore” career—accepting about 50 training, speaking or consulting assignments annually since retiring as the Director of School Nutrition at Beavercreek Schools in Ohio in 2010.

What Do You Bring to the Role: 35 years of experience in varied positions in the field of school nutrition gives me a unique perspective on working in, managing, and leading SN programs.

What You Do in Your Free Time: Last year, I traveled 11,000 miles in my RV, so I like to travel. I spend summer and fall in Ohio, and winter and spring at my winter estate in southwest Florida on the gulf, where I visit the beach often and pick up shells and seaglass.
