Why School Nutrition?

What do I love most about my job? Am I not allowed to say everything?! But really, I love most is that we are able to serve much more than meals; we have the opportunity to build relationships with students and give them a bright, healthy future and a welcoming, safe environment when they are at school. Not only that, but we are able to provide relationships and opportunities to our own team members.

Bringing It Back to My District

I came back with several ideas from ANC, the biggest takeaways include branching out to process with new vendors to give our students even more global options. Also, you first must invest in yourself and your team to make the biggest difference.

The Impact of This Scholarship

The SNF conference scholarship allowed me to experience growth on a whole new level! Since my district is small, I enjoyed meeting up with larger districts to learn about their program and how to alter what they do to fit our needs.
