LAC 2021 FAQs

Why is LAC 2021 being moved to a virtual format?

While we would prefer to see everyone in person, given the current uncertainty in when vaccines for COVID-19 will be made widely available, we made the difficult decision to move LAC to a virtual format for 2021 to ensure everyone’s safety. Even though the event is virtual, you can count on valuable legislative and advocacy updates, as well as high-quality sessions and speakers.

Since Congressional offices currently are not hosting in-person meetings, we realized that traveling to Washington, D.C. was not as imperative. We will provide instructions on how to contact your elected representatives for a virtual meeting.

With the reduced registration rates for this year, we hope even more school nutrition professionals will be able to take advantage of one of SNA's most popular conferences.

What dates will LAC 2021 be held?

The dates for LAC 2021 have shifted slightly to Monday, March 8 through Wednesday, March 10. Given the new virtual format, we did not want to interfere with anyone’s weekend time.

When will registration open?

Registration opens on Monday, December 14.

What does registration cost and what does it include?

Information on registration can be found on the Registration page.

What can I expect from LAC 2021?

As participants of LAC have come to expect, the virtual conference will continue to provide valuable legislative and advocacy updates, as well as high-quality sessions and speakers. #LAC21 will take place over three days starting at 1:00 pm EST the first two days and 11:00 am EST the third day, with short scheduled breaks. View the agenda.

While you will not have the ability to meet with your elected officials in person this year, we will provide detailed information on how to schedule virtual meetings with legislators.

Will recordings of the sessions be available after LAC 2021?

Yes, the on-demand version of LAC is included in your registration. The on-demand sessions will be available about a week after the live event.

How many CEUs can I earn?

Participants will earn 7 CEUs.

Who can I contact about being a sponsor?

For sponsorship opportunities, please email nartis@schoolnutrition.org.

Can several of us participate in LAC 2021 as a group?

Each attendee must be individually registered for the event. CEU credits can only be earned/applied to the registered individual.

Are group discounts available?

LAC 2021 rates were already significantly reduced. However, for our industry members, if more than two (2) people from your company register, the third registrant will receive a $100 discount off their registration.

Will there be a One Day Only option available for registration?

Because many of the concepts and discussions will carry over into each day, we are not offering the option to register for one day only.

Will handouts be available for attendees to print prior to the conference?

Yes, key handouts will be available to print a few days prior to the conference.

What time zone will LAC 2021 be offered in?

LAC 2021 will take place in Eastern Standard Time.
