A webinar is a web seminar. Webinars are a way for participants in many different locations to see and hear a presentation. A webinar typically consists of a moderator, one or more presenters, and the online audience.
Sign into your Training Zone account. From the Training Zone home page, click ‘Live Webinars & Trainings’. Scroll down and select the webinar. On the following page click ‘Register’. You will receive a confirmation email with the link to access the webinar and a way to add to your email calendar. On the day of the webinar, click the link, and you will join the waiting room, and will be let in to the webinar room at the designated webinar start time.
All you need is a computer with an Internet connection (high speed service such as DSL or cable works best) or smart phone with a strong Wi-Fi connection, and speakers. You may also use a headset instead of speakers

One of SNA’s most popular member benefits are the many opportunities for professional development via Live Webinars and Webinars On-Demand. Each webinar provides 1 CEU or 1 CPEU for RDNs/NDTRs. CEUs/CPEUs can be used toward earning an SNA Certificate in School Nutrition (Levels 1-4) and can also be applied toward School Nutrition Specialist (SNS) credential renewal.
SNA makes a significant investment of time and resources to deliver high-quality educational webinars. As an SNA member all live and on-demand webinars are free.
SNA charges a webinar fee for non-member access.
All SNA webinars are recorded and posted in the on-demand library and may be accessed at any time by SNA Members. Non-members can participate in both live and on-demand webinars, however, there is a $49.00 fee. To learn more about becoming an SNA, please click here.
During each live webinar you can ask a question by typing it into the Q&A box located in the control panel in ZOOM. Questions are answered at the end of the webinar, for approximately 15 minutes. We will do our best to answer as many questions as possible.
The PowerPoint slides are shared as a hyperlink in the chat during the live webinar. For Webinars On-Demand, you will find the handouts in the Resources tab while watching the video. On occasion, speakers will ask that SNA not share their presentations due to business reasons or intellectual rights.
Future webinars are posted in the Training Zone under the ‘Live Webinars and Training’ button on the home page. They are posted a month prior and are also announced via the SNA home page, and emails to our members.
Yes, for most webinars, you earn 1 CEU for attending the live webinar or watching in the On-Demand Library. All Webinar Wednesdays require the completion of a webinar evaluation and quiz before earning a certificate. Webinar Wednesdays provide one (1) CEU and one (1) CPEU for RDNs and NDTRs. Other SNA webinars, Talk Tuesdays, the Membership Webinar Series and iWebinars provide important information but do not fall under Professional Standards and do not provide CEUs.
Access your Training Zone earned CEUs by going to your profile. Click on your name in the right-hand corner of the screen, then click the “Certificates” tab. You can also access them by clicking on the “My CEUs” green button on the Training Zone home page.
We'd love to hear it! Send an email to Toni Vega Aiken, at taiken@schoolnutrition.org.
If you are an industry member or allied organization who is interested in partnering with SNA on a future webinar, please contact Sherry Carrigan, Staff VP of Business Development & Meetings, at scarrigan@schoolnutrition.org or (703) 824-3051.

You will be able to make 3 attempts.
We have many successful testimonials of schools and districts utilizing our module trainings in a group setting or purchasing packages to distribute to their teams. That is why we have created District Packages. By purchasing a package, you ensure that everyone receives a CEU certificate after completing the module, even if you complete it in a group setting. For more information email education@schoolnutrition.org. We can help you decide the best way to utilize the module for your school or district.
The new Training Zone also houses the evaluation and quiz. You no longer have to use a Bit.ly link to take the evaluation and quiz. Instead, the evaluation and quiz are available on that webinar’s course page, and an evaluation button will be provided under all On-Demand videos to guide you to the webinar course page.
The Training Zone holds your place in the video, so you will return to the same place you left off when you return. You can always rewind the video, if you need a refresher.
