Welcome to the Spring 2025 Issue of The Journal of Child Nutrition & Management (JCN&M)!

Special diets are increasingly common in child nutrition programs. However, recent data on the types and frequency of accommodations and policies that districts use to make them are limited. This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the type and number of special diets and current policies and practices for accommodating diets beyond standard meal patterns.

Coaching programs (CPs) in schools often focus on student and teacher wellness, leadership development for teachers and administrators, nutrition and physical activity, and academic achievement. However, there is limited use of CPs for the development and implementation of Local School Wellness Policy (LSWP). The lack of specifically designed CPs for LSWPs may provide a gap that, if filled, will lead to practical and productive solutions.
