    SNA VP Candidates Announced

    SNA announces the two candidates selected to run for the position of Vice President of its Board of Directors, while also announcing an extension for the recruitment of seven other positions. A preview of some initial changes to its election and nominating processes in the wake of new bylaws amendments passed by the House of Delegates in July were also announced.

    Bi-Partisan Bill on Paid Lunch Equity Introduced in Senate

    Yesterday, the School Lunch Price Protection Act (S. 1805) was introduced in the U.S. Senate. Co-sponsored by Sens. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) and Angus King (I-Maine), the bill would prevent School Food Authorities (SFAs) from being forced to raise lunch prices when a school's nutrition program is financially solvent.

    New USDA Reimbursement Rates for School Meal Programs

    The USDA has released new reimbursement rates for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), as well as the new value of USDA donated foods.
