Mark Your Calendar for LAC 2015: Online Registration Now Open!

Get ready to stand up, make some noise and help attract attention to school nutrition programs and children’s health! It’s time once again to join SNA and your fellow colleagues and descend upon Washington, D.C., for the Association’s 43rd annual Legislative Action Conference (LAC), March 1-4, 2015.

Once again, this school year continues to be one of change, as school nutrition professionals create new opportunities and adjust to new challenges. We are also at the beginning of the 2015 Child Nutrition Reauthorization (CNR)! Now, more than ever, your voices are critical. It’s up to you to inform and educate your elected leaders on important child nutrition issues.

In addition to the day spent on Capitol Hill, the 2015 conference will include:

  • The chance to hear political insights from this year’s keynote speaker, Dr. Larry Sabato, a university professor of politics at the University of Virginia (UVA) and the founder and head of the UVA Center for Politics.
  • Exciting General Sessions that will explore the political landscape and how the 2014 mid-term elections impacted school nutrition programs and CNR.
  • Breakout sessions that will focus on key topics essential for successful programs, including the LAC First Timers, back by popular demand!
  • A Capitol Hill Reception that will provide an additional opportunity for attendees to network with members of Congress and their staff.

These are just some of the wonderful opportunities that await you at LAC 2015, so make plans today to join us in our nation’s capital for four inspiring days as we walk the halls of Congress, network with colleagues and discuss the state of our programs!
