Influence SNA’s DEIA Initiatives 2022-06-14 The School Nutrition Association (SNA) invites you to be a part of the Association's future Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access (DEIA) strategy. Your feedback is integral to furthering SNA’s continued work in this area! There are currently two opportunities where you can be a part of the School Nutrition Association (SNA)'s future Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access (DEIA) strategy and initiatives. First, the Association has asked Achieve More, LLC, a consultancy firm, to conduct a short survey on our behalf. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes of your time. All of your responses will remain confidential and only themes will be aggregated. Your responses will not be connected back to you in any way. Take the Survey Next, we invite you to participate in an one-hour listening session. Led by DEIA expert Mariama Boney of Achieve More, LLC, the sessions' goal is to learn through hearing diverse experiences, views and responses to questions about DEIA from various perspectives. To preserve confidentiality, no names will be shared or recorded as any part of the themes that are reported. The sessions held via Zoom with chat and close captioning available, will not be recorded. Achieve More, LLC, brings experience in justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, access and accessibility. The team’s engagement includes a DEIA climate and needs assessment and a series of listening sessions. Like focus groups, these listening sessions are facilitated discussions with groups of our key stakeholders and will help us better understand SNA’s strengths, barriers, and opportunities for growth so that we can move forward into the future a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization. We will use what we learn to do better to meet and support DEIA in all that we do as an association.
