Join us this Webinar Wednesday, February 12, to hear from three school nutrition directors on how their programs are “Powering School Meals with U.S.-Grown Pulses.” School meal expert, Dayle Hayes, MS, RD, will share the health benefits of pulses and the USDA crediting categories they fall under. Discussion will also explore Buy American and cost-effective purchase options, so changes can be affordable for any program.

Then, on February 19, Hayes returns as we broaden the scope and gaze globally during the webinar, “School Meals in Japan, Sweden and the US: Real-World Commonalities, Challenges and Successes.” Slowly but surely, healthy lifestyle countries are developing poorer eating habits caused by the globalization of western diets. See how other countries are combating this more recent issue, along with preceding issues of funding and waste in their school nutrition programs.
