Help Feed School Kids Now! Grant Application Opens 2020-04-13 Calling all school nutrition operators! Does your school need assistance in emergency feeding? We are here to help! Starting today, April 13, 2020 the Help Feed School Kids Now! Grant funding application period is now open. The School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) has created a GoFundMe campaign to support your tireless efforts to feed America’s children while schools are closed during the ongoing COVID-19 national emergency. SNF is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Because school meal programs operate on extremely tight budgets, funded by cafeteria sales and reimbursements for meals served, SNF wants to help school nutrition programs feed hungry school kids now. With revenue declines due to closures, many school meal programs lack critical funds to purchase necessary equipment and supplies or cover transportation, temporary staffing and other costs associated with COVID-19 feeding programs. In the application, you must supply SNF with basic information about yourself, your school district, and your school districts top needs. In order to be eligible to apply, you must submit your business entities operating EIN. This application is open to both SNA members and non-members. Once you submit your application, School Nutrition Foundation staff members will review applicant eligibility, a Task Force will determine the grant recipients. Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis depending on the amount of funds raised. Follow this link to submit your application today! Submit your Preliminary Application Today! The School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) is an independent 501 (c)(3) and the charitable arm of the non-profit School Nutrition Association (SNA). Since 1964, SNF has supported school nutrition professionals nationwide through scholarships, research and professional development programs.
