Farm to School in the Age of COVID-19


Although many students across the country have yet to return to school buildings and classrooms, districts with a commitment to farm-to-school initiatives are finding inventive ways to ensure these programs continue to grow and thrive.

In celebration of National Farm to School Month, School Nutrition puts these efforts into the spotlight in the magazine’s ongoing COVID-19 digital supplement series. SN checks in with six school districts that are moving forward on procurements from local growers, construction of gardens and greenhouses and development of innovative nutrition and agricultural education programming for virtual learners.
