Take the Pledge: Meet with Your Legislators This Summer! 2018-07-24 Members of Congress are headed home for August recess, when Senators and Representatives meet with constituents in their local offices. In-person meetings are the most influential way to communicate with your legislators. Take the pledge to meet with them this summer. And then make the call to schedule it. SNA has a number of Advocacy Tools that can help you prepare: Read through our Lobbying Tips and prepare your stats on the number of children your programs serve Share the School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program fact sheets Urge your legislators to oppose block granting school nutrition programs with infographics, fact sheets, and other resources.
