STEP Small & Spread Some Love 2018-01-11STEPS Challenges for January and February 2018 STEP into your stride this January by making “Small Changes for Success” rather than big leaps that leave you hanging. Instead of pushing yourself to lose weight on a dime or going cold-turkey on dining out, give your mind, your body and your routine time to adjust with small, bite-sized steps. Try bringing lunch instead of going out. Or adding five-minute yoga to your morning. Go for a walk or add vegetables to at least one meal per week—it’s up to you! Points (two per follow-through) should be submitted online at www.schoolnutrition.org/steps by February 4. (Is one of your goals to destress? Then, pay it forward in February when you “Spread Some Love.” Selfless acts—whether volunteering for an under-staffed fundraiser, donating last year’s clothes or simply cooking dinner for a spouse—encourage selfless acts in others and generate good feelings within ourselves. Give yourself 10 points for each act of kindness you bestow throughout the month of February. Points should be submitted online by March 4.
