The visit began with a half hour pep rally in the gym for sixth graders, featuring the Lynx school mascot. Secretary Perdue talked with students about what he does, how he cares about what they are eating and how he wants to continue making improvements.

In the cafeteria, Secretary Perdue enjoyed a “Lynx” photo moment with Brandon Valley school nutrition staff members Lori Crumb, Linda Schoby, Laurie Veld, Leila Bawinkel, Staci Anderson, Lori Daniels, and Laura Riesch.
