Georgia Director Wins IFMA Silver Plate 2018-03-23The International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) just announced the awardees of its 2018 Silver Plate Awards. Taking the top prize in the Elementary & Secondary Schools category is Ken Yant, Director of School Nutrition at Gwinnett County Public Schools, the largest school district in Georgia, serving nearly 175,000 students. Presented annually to honor the nation’s top foodservice operators’ talent, Silver Plate Winners are nominated by IFMA members and industry leaders and selected by distinguished jury including national trade press, foodservice experts and past Gold & Silver Plate award winners. Yant will receive the award at the Annual 64th Annual Gold & Silver Plate Award Celebration on Saturday, May 20 during National Restaurant Association Show Week in Chicago, Illinois. Yant currently serves on SNA’s Public Policy & Legislation Committee, representing the Southeast Region.
