Speaker Spotlight

Christine Clarahan, RD, SNS
Director of Food & Nutrition Services
School City of Hammond, Ind.
Give us a sneak peek of what you have planned for ANC! Which sessions are you leading during the conference?
In my session, “Mistakes I’ve Made at Work—Tales from a New (Millennial) Director,” I am very excited to give a raw, honest, humorous look at the mistakes I have made in my first years as a (Millennial) Food Service Director. I hope that others can learn from my mistakes!
People will be meeting up in St. Louis; whom are you most excited to meet?
I have met some of the most wonderful people during networking breaks at SNA conferences and I really look forward to searching out those same individuals from across the country! I can't wait to catch up with Liz Roesel (we got to meet during SNA Committee Days), Kogi Daniels (we got to meet at SNIC 2019 in Austin) and Sherry Carrigan from SNA Headquarters—just to name a few! And, anytime I can be in the same room as Jessica Shelly, I learn so much and get the most incredible inspiration for how I can do more in my own school district, so I am definitely excited to see her.
One fun fact most people don’t know about you?
I have over 20 pairs of food- and nutrition-themed earrings. Everything from PB&J to Corndogs-with-Mustard. If you see me at ANC, take a peek at what my ears are sporting that day!
