Emotional Intelligence: The Leadership Edge

In this webinar we explore what emotional intelligence is and examine ways that you can improve your EQ. EQ is seen as central to people’s success in work and life.  Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize your emotions, understand what they're telling you, and realize how your emotions affect people around you. It also involves your perception of others: when you understand how they feel, this allows you to manage relationships more effectively.

We all have three main elements in our psychological make up: personality, IQ (general intelligence), and emotional intelligence. Personality and IQ are fairly stable traits that are relatively fixed and do not predict EQ. EQ is not fixed and can be learned or enhanced. We will look at simple processes you and the people you work with can use every day to ensure that you are exhibiting emotional intelligence.

Successful completion of the webinar and quiz is awarded 1 SNA CEU, or 1 CPEU for RDs/DTRs.
