NFL Analyst, Pro Football Hall of Fame Recipient

Since 1994, Howie Long has been a staple as a lead in-studio analyst on the award-winning “FOX NFL Sunday” pregame show broadcast. His performance won him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Personality/Analyst in 1997. Additionally, he has hosted and appeared in a variety of sports-related television programs.

On the gridiron, Long was regarded as one of the most feared defensive players in the history of the NFL as a member of the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders for 13 seasons. Long would go onto earn eight Pro Bowl selections, plus three first team All-Pro selections and become a Super Bowl XVIII (1984) champion. In 2000, he gained a permanent place alongside the all-time greats, with his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

As a celebrity spokesman, Long has also appeared in various advertising campaigns with companies that include Allstate, Chevrolet/General Motors, Radio Shack, Coca-Cola, A1 Steak Sauce, Nike, DMI, Sprint, FedEx and M&M’s.

In addition to the impact he made on the playing field, Long has made a positive impression in the community through his support to philanthropic organizations including the Boys and Girls Club, United Way and the Mental Health Association.

Pro football has also become the family business in the Long household with Howie’s two oldest sons being drafted in the 1st round. In 2008, Chris, #2 overall, by the St. Louis Rams and Kyle, #20 overall, by the Chicago Bears in 2013. Long’s youngest son, Howie, joined his dad’s old team, the Oakland Raiders, in their player personnel department.
