GOALS:
To establish a food supply chain taskforce for school food sourcing. A combined effort with all stakeholders, including the USDA, small school districts, manufacturers, brokers and distributors, that addresses the complexity of federal procurement regulations and the need for forecasting by industry.

Serve as a liaison among SNA, processors and the USDA for the advancement of USDA Foods.

Work with industry groups to elevate the role and positive impact of school nutrition in the education process. Together with SNA members and industry, aim to quantify the impact of school meals regulations and explore optimum policy objectives for the future that will achieve the best possible outcome for all constituencies, students, members and industry.
