WARNING! Solicitation by Unauthorized Companies

There has been a rash of unauthorized companies soliciting our exhibitors related to various services, from housing to attendee lists. This is just a reminder that the School Nutrition Association has an Authorized Vendor List that lists all official ANC 2014 Boston vendors. We recommend that our exhibitors avoid working with any vendor that is not on this list but is claiming that they are working with or for SNA. Please do not respond to their emails or calls. Do not provide them with credit card information. You are welcome to contact SNA at any time to confirm the status of a vendor. Unfortunately, SNA has no control over the false claims that these unauthorized vendors make and is not able to assist in resolving issues that arise when our exhibitors enter into agreements with unauthorized companies.

Why Book at SNA's Hotels?: Each year, SNA works hard to keep your overall conference costs as low as possible. Our group arrangements with the official ANC hotels provide you with discounts that allow SNA to keep your registration fees low, as well as protective clauses to prevent you from being shut out from a hotel. Therefore, we ask you to book your ANC hotel reservation through our designated housing bureau, Conference Direct, and not through the hotel.

Build Your Summer Vacation around ANC 2014

The city of Boston, the state of Massachusetts and the entire New England region are rich with history, culture, nature and beauty. Whether you’re traveling from near or far, ANC 2014 is the perfect excuse to plan a perfect New England summer vacation—you can even bring the family along!

Trying to see every landmark in Boston, whether historic, cultural or otherwise, could fill months of your time. Make the most of your trip by paying a visit to these five most-commonly recommended sights — and mark the others as “must-sees” the next time you’re in town!

  • The Freedom Trail. This is almost a cheat because so many must-see sights reside on the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile stretch of all things pertaining to the Revolutionary War. Put on your walking shoes to visit the Paul Revere House, the Massachusetts State Hall and original site of Boston Latin School, the first public school in the nation, among the 16 landmarks on the trail.
  • Cambridge. This is technically an entirely different city, but anyone interested in higher education will want to hop over the Charles River and visit the home of Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
  • The Sports Museum. The Patriots, the Red Sox, the Celtics, the Bruins, even the Boston Marathon is chronicled in this must-visit for sports fans, located in TD Garden arena. Don’t forget about Fenway Park down the road; the Red Sox aren’t at home, but public tours are still available.
  • Black Heritage Trail. An end point on the Underground Railroad, Boston has a long history in African-American culture. The Black Heritage Trail connects 15 important landmarks, including the African Meeting House and Lewis and the Harriet Hayden House.
  • Boston Public Garden/Boston Commons. One of these two public parks just might be the place for a picnic dinner after a long day of education sessions. The open green spaces in the heart of Boston feature statues, plenty of plant life and swan boat rides.
