Badge and Ticket(s) Policy
For security purposes, each person must present identification in order to receive your registration packet and will not be allowed to pick-up another attendee’s registration packet. In addition, please note badges must be worn during the conference hours for admittance to the pre-conference events, exhibit hall, sessions, and/or social events. Anyone without an ANC 2014 badge will be asked to register for the conference. To reprint a lost badge, there will be a fee of $5.00. Tickets to ANC events will NOT be reprinted, no exceptions. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Cancellations & Schedule Changes
Circumstances beyond SNA's control—weather, transportation difficulties or last-minute cancellations by program participants (speakers, presenters)—may necessitate changes in the scheduling or presentation of events and/or programs or even cancellation of a particular scheduled event or speaker. SNA cannot be responsible in any way to any conference attendee for any disappointment, inconvenience or "loss" caused by such an eventuality.
Attendance or participation in SNA meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the attendee for SNA's use and distribution of the attendee's image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes taken during the conference.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
All ANC attendees will earn 23 continuing education units (CEUs) toward SNA Certification or SNS Credential renewal by attending this year’s conference. SNA will offer Key Area Hours for education and pre-conference sessions, which can be used to apply for initial certification or for moving up a level. Members will see the number of CEUs earned on their online transcripts, which can be viewed at any time on SNA’s website, www.schoolnutrition.org, by logging into MySNA. The CEUs awarded assumes that members attend 23 hours of educational programming during the conference, including education sessions, general sessions, exhibits, culinary demonstrations and the Child Nutrition Showcase. The 23 CEUs do not include the Pre-Conference sessions.
Accessibility & Special Needs
SNA is committed to ensuring all meeting activities are accessible. Arrangements have been made through Penfield’s Mobility Shop, allowing you to reserve a scooter or wheelchair rental during ANC. To reserve your rental, contact Penfield’s Mobility Shop today at (857) 212-6112 or visit http://www.themobilityshop.com/boston/. To discuss other special needs with SNA, please contact SNA’s Meetings Center at (800) 877-8822, ext. 127, no later than June 6, 2014.
State Association Product Sales
Sales of any products outside the SNA Emporium is strictly prohibited by the contract with the Convention Center. The Convention Center personnel will rigorously enforce this regulation. Anyone apprehended will have his/her products seized and may jeopardize the Annual Conference. Thank you for your stringent adherence to this request.
SNA Non-Endorsement Policy
SNA does not permit its name, logo or written materials to be copied, republished, excerpted, hypertext-linked to a website, or otherwise used for any commercial purpose, including advertising, or to suggest any endorsement, affiliation or sponsorship of any third-party product or service, without the prior written permission of SNA. Accordingly, no entity or individual may, in any written, verbal or electronic communication, including but not limited to press releases, promotional materials, advertisements, articles, videotapes, emails, telephone calls or face-to-face discussions, state or imply in any way that SNA has endorsed, recommended, approved, sponsored or taken any other position regarding any product or service without SNA's prior written consent.
Antitrust Policy Statement
It is the policy of the School Nutrition Association and it is the responsibility of every Association member and participating school food industry organization to comply in all respects with federal and state antitrust laws. No activity or discussion at any Association meeting or other function may be engaged in for the purpose of bringing about any understanding or agreement among members that may violate or appear to violate the antitrust laws, including but not limited to raise, lower or stabilize prices; to regulate production; to allocate markets; to encourage boycotts; to foster unfair trade practices; to assist monopolization; or to in any way violate federal or state antitrust laws. Any questions regarding the meaning or applicability of this policy, as well as any concerns regarding activities or discussions at Association meetings, should be promptly brought to the attention of SNA.
