USDA Releases Certification Of Compliance With New Meal Patterns

On May 31, 2012 USDA released a memo to Regional Directors and State Directors of Child Nutrition Programs.  FNS has issued information and materials to support the certification process set forth in the interim rule, called Certification of Compliance with Meal Requirements for the National School Lunch Program under the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010.  These certification tools include a menu worksheet module and a simplified nutrient assessment module and are designed to assist SFAs and State agencies in measuring compliance.  These materials can also be found at:
