What is a webinar?

A webinar is a web seminar. Webinars are a way for participants in many different locations to see and hear a presentation. A webinar typically consists of a moderator, one or more presenters, and the online audience.

How do I sign up for a webinar?

Just click the registration link on the webinar page. As soon as your registration is received, you will receive a confirmation email with the link to access the webinar. On the day of the webinar, click the link (about 10 minutes before the scheduled start time is recommended) and you will see the welcome screen for the webinar.

What kind of equipment do I need?

All you need is a computer with an Internet connection (high speed service such as DSL or cable works best) and speakers. You may also use a headset instead of speakers or you may listen to the audio by calling the phone number that is included in your confirmation email.

Does it cost anything to participate?

There is no cost to attend our webinars.

I can't attend the live webinar date. Will the webinar be repeated? Is there any way to watch it later?

The webinar will not be repeated, but all our webinars are archived on our website for viewing at your convenience.

How do I ask a question during the webinar? Will my question be answered during the presentation?

During each webinar you can ask a question by typing it into the question box that appears on your webinar screen. As many questions as possible will be answered during the Question and Answer period scheduled as part of each webinar.

When accessing an archived webinar, I received an error message stating “Missing Codec.” What should I do?

Visit https://www3.gotomeeting.com/codec?Portal=gotomeeting.com to download the appropriate codec.

Can I get a copy of the PowerPoint slides used in the webinar?

The PowerPoint slides will be available in the webinars archive two days after the webinar has taken place.

How can I get information on future webinars?

Future webinars are posted on our website as soon as they are scheduled and are also announced via emails to our members.

Do I earn CEUs for attending the webinar? For watching the archived recording?

Yes, for most webinars, you earn 1 CEU for attending the live webinar or watching the archived recording. The proof of attendance document is available for download on each individual webinar page. CEUs are not available for shorter webinars like new member webinars or webinars about membership benefits.

Does SNA keep track of the CEUs for me?

No, you should print out the proof of attendance and keep for your own records of your CEUs.
