2016 SNF Scholarship Recipients

Josephine Martin National Policy Fellow:
Every year, the SNF gives one current SNA member from the employee or manager category the opportunity to attend SNA’s annual Legislative Action Conference (LAC) as the Josephine Martin National Policy Fellow, with up to $3,000.00 travel expenses paid. The 2016 recipient is:

ANC First Timers 2015-allANC First-Timer Scholarship:
Funded by PepsiCo, the ANC First-Timer Scholarship gives SNA members from the employee and manager categories who have never attended SNA’s Annual National Conference (ANC) the opportunity to take advantage of the valuable educational and professional development opportunities to advance their careers at this event. The 2016 recipients are:

Kathleen Stitt Award:
Kathleen Stitt Award

The Kathleen Stitt Award is presented to a graduate student or faculty member participating in the Child Nutrition Showcase at SNA’s Annual National Conference (ANC). This $500.00 award is given to help defray travel expenses incurred to attend ANC. The 2016 recipient is

SNF Professional Growth Scholarship:
Scholarships of up to $2,500 each are awarded each year to SNA members pursuing degrees in a school nutrition related fields. The 2016 recipients are:

Sandi Brooker Award:
The Sandi Brooker Scholarship ensures that Sandi’s positive impact on so many people is continued by helping others achieve the dream of continued education. Two scholarships of $1,000.00 each are awarded each year to SNA members pursuing a school nutrition related fields. The 2016 recipients are:

Winston Equipment Award Grant
Through this grant, Winston Industries awards equipment to one school district needing improvement of its school meal kitchen facilities through a competitive grant process. The 2016 recipient is:
