SNA’s LAC Registration is Now Open: Check Out Special Congressional Pre-Con!

Registration for SNA’s 2016 Legislative Action Conference (LAC) is now open. You’ll enjoy a new streamlined three-day conference agenda in a beautiful new setting—the newest and largest hotel in the nation’s capital—the Marriott Marquis. And you will have the opportunity to walk the halls of Congress to advocate on behalf of the children you serve every school day.

The conference begins with the can’t-miss pre-conference session, Congress: Politics, Procedures and Power, scheduled for Saturday, February 27 at 1:00 pm. Top Congressional analyst and scholar, Walter Oleszek, will provide attendees with behind-the-scenes knowledge on the inner workings of the House and Senate. Participants will leave equipped to be powerful advocates on the Hill!

Additional highlights of the program include, keynote speaker, Amy Walter, the national editor of the Cook Political Report and the former political director of ABC News. Amy Walter will provide her insights on the upcoming 2016 Presidential Election and an overview of the potential impact on the 115th Congress in 2017. Also, making an appearance during one of the two luncheons offered in this year’s program, The Capitol Steps! The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. Since they began, the Capitol Steps have recorded over 30 albums and have been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC and PBS.
