Today, SNA Holds Congressional Briefing on The Business of School Nutrition


The School Nutrition Association’s (SNA) national leadership shared newly released research results on the current trends affecting school foodservice and nutrition across the country to Capitol Hill staff. Discussion topics included: top-tier issues of school nutrition including national and state level lunch participation rates; school nutrition financial trends related to implementation of new nutrition standards; SNA’s key priorities for the 2015 Reauthorization of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act; and assistance with organizing a cafeteria site visit in order to observe the latest trends first hand. In addition the National School Board Association shared recent research on school leaders. Their press release can be found here.
