SNA Awards: Nominate Someone You Admire

Last year, SNA debuted a more streamlined awards program, with a simplified nomination process and easier-to-understand award names. But the distinct honor of being recognized with one of these awards remains unchanged—and it’s not too early to start imagining seeing yourself on the red carpet at the 2016 Annual National Conference (ANC) in San Antonio! Outstanding SNA members are acknowledged at the state, regional and national level in three member categories:

Do you know an exemplary national member who has earned either an SNA certificate or the SNS credential? Does she or he set a new standard for spirit, accomplishment and creativity? Nominating a colleague you admire for an SNA award is now easier than ever with the online nomination form. Simply create an account, fill out the form and submit it. You must submit nominations online or directly to your state president by March 1, 2016.

SNA also continues to honor excellence at the state affiliate level through the President’s Award of Achievement, in honor of Thelma Flanagan, the President’s Award of Excellence and additional membership growth and professional development awards.

Receiving an SNA award is a great honor and recognizes the contributions school nutrition professionals make each and every day. To learn more about SNA’s Awards Program, visit
