Professional Standards Update and Webinar!

Are you interested in learning more about professional standards? Register for SNA’s upcoming Webinar Wednesdays event, Navigating Professional Standards, which will be held September 30, 2015, at 2:00 pm Eastern. Panelists will include SNA Professional Development Committee Chair, Kathy Burrill, SNS, and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) representatives Amy Frady and Marisol Aldahondo-Aponte. In addition to hearing more about the requirements, you’ll learn about how SNA’s professional development programs are aligned with professional standards and get answers to frequently asked questions. In an effort to add value to your learning experience, this webinar has an additional learning component and encouraged prerequisite. This helpful article provides information on professional standards along with frequently asked questions that will be further explained during the September 30th webinar.

The USDA Professional Standards Learning Topic Codes have been updated to include two new topics: Community Eligibility and Administrative Reviews

  • Community Eligibility is added under Learning Topic Code 3100, Administration.
  • Administrative Reviews is included under Learning Topic Code 3200, Program Management.
