New USDA SuperTracker Resource Available

2014-10-28

Recently, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion launched a new, free resource for teachers, schools, and health educators. SuperTracker Nutrition Lesson Plans for High School Students help students grades 9-12 learn how to build a healthy diet using SuperTracker.  The lesson plans include a variety of topics such as selecting healthy snacks, finding personal recommendations for what and how much to eat, evaluating food selections, and building healthy meals. Each lesson plan includes learning objectives, detailed instructions, and accompanying resources and handouts.

The lesson plans are available for download on the "For Educators" section of ChooseMyPlate.gov. To access this resource, click here.
