2015-10-09

The School Nutrition Foundation is now accepting applications for the Josephine Martin National Policy Fellow. The Fellow will attend the Legislative Action Conference (LAC) with expenses paid up to $3,000 and be recognized at the event. To apply, you must:

  • Be an active SNA employee or manager section member, who has been a SNA member for at least three years, as of LAC 2016 (since no later than March 1, 2013). Director-level members are not eligiblefor this fellowship.
  • Have never previously attended LAC
  • Be interested in child nutrition policy
  • Submit an online application by November 16, 2015. Please preview the form before applying.

The Foundation is also now accepting contributions to the Josephine Martin National Policy Fellowship Fund in memory of SNA Past President Jane Wynn. Wynn, who passed away this past May, served as President of SNA in 1987-86. She was a champion for the Josephine Martin National Policy Fellowship Fund, which she and other past presidents established in 2012 in honor of Dr. Josephine Martin. Wynn continued to work tirelessly to grow the Fund until shortly before she passed away.

If you would like to make a contribution in Wynn’s honor, you may do so online. Both Josephine Martin and the family of Jane Wynn will be notified when contributions are made in memory of Wynn.
