Earn Your Level 1 Certificate in 3 Simple Steps!

Have you been thinking about earning your SNA Certificate in School Nutrition? There is no time like the present! Attaining your Certificate in School Nutrition has never been simpler as the high school/GED requirement is no longer required for Level 1 and the process will give you a head start to prepare for USDA professional standards.

There are 3 simple steps to earning your Level 1 Certificate:

  • STEP 1: Complete one 8-hour Nutrition Core Course and one 8-hour Food Safety Core Course. The National Food Service Management Institute (NFSMI), www.nfsmi.org, offers both 8-hour courses you will need, online and free of charge!
  • STEP 2: Send SNA your completed application, payment and Certificates of Completion; and
  • STEP 3: CELEBRATE! SNA will send you a letter confirming you have earned your Level 1 Certificate in School Nutrition.
