Be a STEP Ahead of the Holidays

Are you winding down 2015 motivated about your health? Maybe you’re feeling a little burned out and anxious about getting through the upcoming holidays. This is the perfect opportunity to prioritize your wellness needs—and SNA’s personal wellness program may be just what you’ve been missing.

The STEPS challenges for December and January will help you make healthful changes that will benefit you through the holidays and beyond! For December, the goal is to make time to de-stress during this very busy time of year—and commit to some daily meditation! It’s a great practice to relax your mind and body. All you need is a quiet, private place and a few minutes. Be peaceful, breathe deeply, quiet your mind and find a sense of calm. Award yourself with five points every time you try a meditation session. It can be 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes—whatever works for you.

January’s challenge is a reminder to set a goal for the New Year—a realistic resolution you can keep. Just pick one healthy habit you’d like to embrace in 2016. Whether it’s cutting out eating out or squeezing in a daily walk, it’s up to you! Award yourself with two points for each day you embrace a healthy habit.

The holiday season, while typically busy and sometimes stressful, is a much anticipated time of the year. You’re bound to feel more energized and enjoy every minute when you make small changes that add up to big rewards. Visit to get started!
