Apply Now: Project Produce Fruit & Veggie Grants

2016-03-11

Grant applications are now being accepted for Project Produce. Launched in 2014 by the Chef Ann Foundation and superfoods company Healthy Skoop, this grant program was created to help schools increase kids' access to fresh fruits and vegetables and provide nutrition education through fun lunchroom learning activities. The $2,500 one-year grants support food costs to incorporate fruit and vegetable tastings into a school nutrition program. The goals of Project Produce are to expand students’ palates and to increase their consumption of fresh produce.

Any district or school participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is eligible to apply. Districts may apply for grants for up to 10 schools. There is no deadline. Grants will be determined on an ongoing basis depending on available funding.
