ANC 2016 Online Registration is Now Open!

2016-02-22

Are you ready to LEARN, LEAD and SUCCEED in San Antonio? Well, wait no longer…registration is now open for SNA’s 70th Annual National Conference (ANC), which will be held July 10-13, 2016, in San Antonio, Texas. ANC 2016 will bring together the school nutrition community for four days of informative and inspiring sessions, countless exhibits and unmatched networking. You don’t want to miss it!

The three General Sessions at ANC are the place to become re-energized and excited about your profession. Highlighting our Opening General Session will be a special panel featuring two renowned Olympic athletes: track and field superstar Jackie Joyner-Kersee and gymnastic champion Shannon Miller. In retirement these distinguished athletes have been fervent advocates for children and women, and they will share their reflections on health, wellness and physical activity.

At the Second General Session, chef, television personality and current co-host of ABC’s popular lifestyle series, “The Chew” Carla Hall, will engage ANC attendees with her philosophy to always cook with love.

A fifth-generation San Antonian, John Quiñones, the Emmy award-winning co-anchor of ABC newsmagazine “Primetime,” will headline the final General Session on Wednesday, July 13. As the sole anchor of the “Primetime” series “What Would You Do?,” Quiñones will challenge the audience when he helps them examine what we do when we witness injustice, racism, bullying—as an individual—as a nation? Do we step in or do we step aside?

Of course, this is on top of everything else ANC has to offer, including more than 100 education sessions to assist you in meeting annual training hours for USDA’s Professional Standards, 800 booths in the Exhibit Hall and numerous special events to allow for networking opportunities among colleagues and industry members; including a step back in time to the Sixties and Seventies with the exciting final event concert—RAIN, a tribute to The Beatles!

With all ANC 2016 has to offer, you can’t afford to procrastinate. Visit www.schoolnutrition.org/ANC to register* and take advantage of the early-bird rate today.

*New this Year: Conference Registration is now required before you will be allowed to reserve a room within SNA’s discounted hotel room block. Whether registering online or by email/mail/fax, after you’ve submitted your payment and received your order confirmation, you will be given access to the Housing Reservation system, with a unique housing registration link tied to your individual registration. This change in procedure is designed to ensure that a greater number of attendees have the opportunity to book their first-choice hotels on their preferred dates and still receive SNA’s discounted rates.
