FAME Awards Deadline Extended

2017-10-03

Submit Your Nomination for the FAME Awards

The FAME Awards are both coveted and well-renowned in the school foodservice industry as an indicator of substantial, marked success. Each year, the award is presented to outstanding leaders, recognizing them for achievement, innovation and service. This coming year, the FAME Awards ceremony will be held during SNA’s School Nutrition Industry Conference (SNIC) in New Orleans, La., on Sunday, January 21, 2018.

If you are hoping to nominate a School Nutrition Star, you are in luck—the FAME Award deadline has been extended to October 10, 2017 at 5:00 pm CST.

Regardless of winning, much like the Academy Awards, being nominated is also a great distinction. The nominees for this and other school nutrition awards programs are often highlighted and recognized in School Nutrition, SNA’s flagship publication, and other foodservice media to showcase the profession’s best practices and creative strategies. Participation in the FAME Awards program also gives you the chance to shine the spotlight on your district and help spread the word about the important role that school nutrition professionals play in contributing to the health and welfare of America’s children.

Do you know of a school nutrition leader or innovator who deserves to be nominated for a FAME Award? This special award recognizes those who raise the school nutrition bar for others to follow. These are individuals who have triumphed over challenges and provided insightful and innovative solutions to the complex issues that are the hallmark of school nutrition professionals. If this describes you, your supervisor or a colleague, take the time to submit a nomination and recognize them.
