General Information

Confirmations and Onsite Registration
All individuals registering for LAC 2015 before February 27, 2015, will receive confirmation via e-mail or mail upon processing. Plan to pick up your final program, badge and other materials at the SNA Registration Desk in the hotel. Onsite registrations also will be accepted at the prevailing rates.

Badge Policy
For security purposes, each person must present identification in order to receive your registration packet and will not be allowed to pick-up another attendee's registration packet. In addition, please note badges must be worn during the conference hours for admittance to the pre-conference, breakout and general sessions, as well as social events. Anyone without an LAC 2015 badge will be asked to register for the conference. To reprint a lost badge, there will be a fee of $5.00. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Cancellations & Schedule Changes
Circumstances beyond SNA's control—weather, transportation difficulties or last-minute cancellations by program participants (speakers, presenters)—may necessitate changes in the scheduling or presentation of events and/or programs or even cancellation of a particular scheduled event or speaker. SNA cannot be responsible in any way to any conference attendee for any disappointment, inconvenience or "loss" caused by such an eventuality.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
To make it as easy as possible for you to maintain your Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for certification and SNS Credential renewal, SNA will update your CEU record with your paid registration and attendance at LAC 2015. You will see the number of CEUs earned on your online transcript, which can be viewed at any time on SNA's website, by logging into My Account (formerly MySNA). The pre-approved number of 16.5 CEUs will be awarded for LAC 2015, which includes general and breakout sessions. The 16.5 CEUs does not include the pre-conference session.

Attire
Business attire is appropriate for LAC. You should bring appropriate professional attire, with comfortable shoes for your day on Capitol Hill and the LAC Reception that follows. Cocktail attire is recommended for Monday’s SNF celebration. Washington weather at this time of year can be unpredictable, so be sure to pack for possible chilly or rainy conditions. For current weather forecasts, check www.washington.org.

SNA Position Paper
SNA’s 2015 Position Paper can be found at www.SchoolNutrition.org/PositionPaper. If you need a District or School Profile Sheet to complete and bring with you for your visits on Capitol Hill, call (800) 877-8822 and ask the SNA Service Center to fax one to you.

Josephine Martin National Policy Fellow
The School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) is proud to announce that applications are now being accepted for the Josephine Martin National Policy Fellow. The Fellow will travel to Washington, D.C. for LAC, with all travel expenses paid up to $3,000. Expenses include airfare, ground transportation and hotel accommodations, as well as conference registration and a per diem for meals.

District directors are not eligible for this fellowship; however, program operators at the manager, area supervisor or coordinator level are encouraged to apply. Applications are due by December 15, 2014. For more information, please visit www.schoolnutrition.org/scholarships.

It is the policy of the SNA and it is the responsibility of every Association member and participating school food industry organization to comply in all respects with federal and state antitrust laws.
