Equipment Grants

2024 Equipment Grant Opportunities now open for SNA members!

Eligible SNA members have access to equipment grants from Winston Foodservice, Vulcan, Hobart, FWE, Cambro, Sterno, and INNOSEAL. New this year, we have equipment grants from AmTab and LTI Inc. The total value of equipment grants being awarded is over half a million dollars! You do not want to miss out! The deadlineto apply to all equipment grants is March 29, 2024.

To qualify for an SNF Equipment Grant:

Applicants must be current director-level members of the School Nutrition Association (SNA). If you need to confirm SNA membership, please call (703) 824-3000.
Eligible applicants must be a member of SNA as of January 1, 2023.
- Members that joined after the stated deadline will NOT be eligible.
- Members that joined before the stated date ARE eligible.
Applications must represent the entire school district’s equipment needs.
Applications will be reviewed for need, plan to integrate new equipment and impact of new equipment on school nutrition program.

If you are selected as a finalist, you will be asked to create a 2- to 3-minute video. SNF staff will send you directions for the video application process if you are chosen to move on to the next round of judging. Watch the videos from the winning 2023 grant recipients here.

AmTab Equipment Grants

The School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) and AmTab are committed to school foodservice. AmTab prides itself on fostering a positive impact on student's daily life by specializing in the development of K-12 dining commons and food courts, multipurpose rooms, and many more. As a new grant opportunity for 2024, AmTab is providing SNA members three equipment grant programs to support the curation of updated, innovative K12 dining halls and food courts for schools in need.
The application deadline is March 29, 2024.

AmTab K-12 Food Court Furniture Grant (providing up to $200,000 in new in-door cafeteria furniture);

Collection Grant

Cambro, Innoseal, and Sterno Delivery see and feel the need to improve school kitchens throughout the United States. They have agreed to work together to improve the lives of both the students being served and school nutrition professionals. Click here for a list of the equipment included in the Collection Grants. The Food Warming Equipment (FWE) Equipment Grant

The FWE Equipment Grant awards the winning school district with multiple pieces of equipment, including an extensive line of mobile, stainless steel and full insulated, heated holding cabinets, proofers, refrigerators, freezers, portable bars and serving wells. The FWE family of divisions expands automation, robotics and cutting-edge technology continuing FWE’s commitment and confidence in the resilient school foodservice industry. The winning school district will show that there is a plan for the placement of all pieces of equipment in the school district. One (1) school district will be awarded up to $25,000 worth of FWE equipment. The application deadline is March 29, 2024.

The Hobart Equipment Grant

ITW Food Equipment Group/Vulcan and Hobart Brands have teamed up to help SNF provide more equipment to SNA members. Hobart Equipment Grant will award one (1) school district up to $35,000 worth of Hobart equipment. Once awarded, the recipient will work with an ITW/FEG representative to determine what best suits their school district’s needs. Click here to view available equipment. LTI Equipment Grant to LTI Equipment Grant

The School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) and Low Temp Industries (LTI, Inc.) are committed to school foodservice. LTI, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of foodservice equipment, counters, technologies, and décor.

The LTI Equipment Award Grant awards the winning school district with a Grab ‘n Go Cart of their choosing from the eight (8) standard LTI models-up to $10,000 in value and an interior décor package valued at up to $20,000.

LTI will design, while collaborating with the school district, supply and install this interiors package. Once awarded, the recipient will work with an LTI representative to determine what best suits their school district’s needs.

The Vulcan Equipment Grant

ITW Food Equipment Group/Vulcan and Hobart Brands have teamed up to help SNF provide more equipment to SNA members. The recipient of the Vulcan Equipment Grant will be awarded up to $50,000 worth of Vulcan equipment. Once awarded, the recipient will work with an ITW/FEG representative to determine what best suits their school district’s needs. Click here to view available equipment. The Winston Equipment Grant

SNF and Winston have teamed up for more than a decade to help school nutrition professionals address equipment needs in order to better serve students. The Winston Foodservice Equipment Grant program will award equipment to one (1) school district in need of improving its school meal kitchen facilities through a competitive grant process. Equipment received from the Winston Foodservice award will consist of up to 10 pieces of equipment valued up to $100,000 from Winston Foodservice. Once awarded, the recipient will work with a Winston Foodservice representative to determine what best suits their school district’s needs. The application deadline is March 29, 2024.

Winston Equipment could include CVap® holding cabinets, holding drawers or retherm ovens.

2023 Equipment Grant Winners

The School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) teamed up with industry partners to award new kitchen equipment to five deserving school districts in 2023-24:
